Security & Safety

Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and occupational health & safety training for security and safety practitioners across Ghana and West Africa.

Security management and safety training in Accra, Ghana

DIT trains Ghana's security and safety professionals from its Accra campus. The Security Management & Occupational Health and Safety course gives supervisors, facility managers, and aspiring security managers a practical foundation in threat assessment, risk reduction, security operations, and workplace safety — while the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) programme prepares experienced practitioners for the ASIS International board certification recognised worldwide.

The security sector in Ghana is professionalising fast: corporate clients, banks, mines, and international organisations increasingly require security managers with formal training and recognised credentials. DIT's security management courses are built for that market — taught by experienced practitioners, grounded in international good practice, and applied to Ghanaian and West African operating realities.

Courses run in morning, evening, and weekend streams so serving security personnel can train around shift patterns. DIT's institutional affiliations include City & Guilds and PECB, and curricula are structured with awareness of those frameworks for learners who want to progress to further international certification.
