Is DIT a professional training institute or a university?
A professional and technical training institute in Accra, established in 2008 — not a university. DIT runs short certificate courses for working professionals, school leavers, and career changers; it does not award degrees or diplomas.
Which certificate do I receive?
A DIT Certificate of Completion for the course you pass, verifiable online at dit.edu.gh/verify. Where a course prepares you for an external credential (for example the ASIS CPP examination), that credential is awarded by the external body after its own exam, not by DIT.
Can I study while working?
Yes. Most courses run in morning, evening, and weekend streams at the Accra campus, with intensive full-time editions for people on a deadline. Selected programmes are also available online through DIT Virtual Learning.
