TVET
Electronics (National Proficiency I – National Certificate II)
A CTVET-accredited TVET programme in electronics, from National Proficiency I to National Certificate II on Ghana's National TVET Qualifications Framework.
Overview
Electronics covers the components, circuits and equipment found in everything from phones and appliances to industrial controls. DIT is accredited to deliver Electronics as a TVET programme on Ghana’s National TVET Qualifications Framework, from National Proficiency I (NP1) to National Certificate II (NC2).
The programme leads to national qualifications, not just an institute certificate. Each level certifies a defined set of practical competencies, and learners are assessed on what they can demonstrably do.
Who It’s For
- School leavers who want a recognised trade qualification in electronics
- Technicians and repairers who already work with electronics and want their skills formally certified
- Learners who want a route into further study on the national framework
How the Levels Work
The programme runs through four levels: National Proficiency I, National Proficiency II, National Certificate I and National Certificate II. Each level builds on the one before. Admissions will confirm intake dates, fees, class times and the right starting level for you.
What you'll be able to do
- Identify electronic components and explain how they work in a circuit
- Read circuit diagrams and build circuits from them
- Solder and assemble components on circuit boards
- Use test instruments such as multimeters to test, fault-find and repair electronic circuits and equipment
- Work safely with electrical and electronic equipment
