How it works

From enquiry to your first class

  1. Step 1

Choose a course and a stream

Pick the course that matches the job you want. If you are travelling to Accra for it, the Intensive stream is usually the right choice: the full curriculum in one block of full-time classes.

  2. Step 2

Ask admissions for the next start date

Message admissions on WhatsApp or by e-mail with the course, the stream and the dates you can travel. Admissions confirms the start date and your total fee before you book anything.

  3. Step 3

    Apply online

Complete the online application form. Admissions replies with what you need to bring and how to pay from outside Ghana.

  4. Step 4

    Arrange your travel

Check the entry requirements for your nationality with the Ghana Immigration Service, then book your travel and accommodation around your confirmed class dates.

Entry to Ghana

Citizens of ECOWAS member states can generally enter Ghana with a valid passport and stay for up to 90 days without a visa, which is longer than any DIT intensive course. Most other nationalities need a visa. Ghana also requires travellers to show a yellow fever vaccination certificate on arrival. Rules change, and they differ by nationality, so confirm yours with theGhana Immigration Servicebefore you book. DIT does not issue visas or permits.

Where you will study

The DIT campus is at 1st Floor, Obrapa House, Atico Junction, Kaneshie–Mallam Highway, Accra, Ghana, on the Kaneshie–Mallam Highway in Accra. Talk to admissions about where to stay before you book accommodation, so that you are within easy reach of the campus.

Fees and payment

Classroom fees are listed in Ghana cedis on theFees page. Do not send money until admissions has confirmed your course, your start date, your total fee and the payment details that work from your country. After you pay, send your payment reference to admissions so your enrolment can be processed.

Your certificate

Every course ends with a practical assessment. Students who pass receive a DIT Certificate of Completion, which an employer in any country can check atdit.edu.gh/verify. Each course page states which external credential, if any, the course prepares you for. TheCPP Review Course, for example, prepares you for the ASIS International examination, which is recognised by employers worldwide.

Which DIT courses can I complete during a short stay in Ghana?

Courses offered in the Intensive stream compress the full curriculum into a block of full-time classes. Current intensive courses: Revit Architecture (BIM) (8 Weeks Regular or 3 Weeks (Intensive)); AutoCAD Electrical (8 Weeks Regular or 2 Weeks (Intensive)); MS Office Automation (4 Weeks Regular or 1 Week (Intensive)); Project Planning & Management (PPM) (8 Weeks Regular or 3 Weeks (Intensive)); Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Review Course (5 Days (Intensive)); Security Management & Occupational Health and Safety (6 Weeks Regular or 2 Weeks (Intensive)); Project Schedule (2 Days Intensive); AutoCAD 2D (8 Weeks Regular or 2 Weeks (Intensive)).
